01Find your line.
Accelerate with W and steer with A/D. Ease off or brake before tight turns. Curbs are friendly; the outside shoulder slows you down. R places you back on track.
02Let it slide.
Hold Shift while steering at speed. Charge blue, gold, then pink sparks. Release Shift for a mini, super, or ultra drift boost. Solar strips give an instant boost too. Pink ramps launch your kart; tap Shift in the air for a trick and a landing boost.
03A little chaos.
Drive through floating item boxes, then press Space. Rockets chase racers ahead; balloons and slicks become traps. Carry an active item and one in reserve. Time your shield just before impact for a counter boost, or use Party Pulse to clear nearby rockets. Your reserve moves up automatically.
04Race your way.
Grand Prix visits all three courses for championship points. Quick Race picks one course. Time Trial removes rivals and items and saves your best clean run as a ghost. Collect up to ten solar rings for extra top speed. Follow all five rings beyond a golden gate for a bonus boost. Tuck in behind a rival for a slipstream boost, then pull out to overtake.
On mobile: hold the play area to accelerate, slide your finger horizontally to steer, and lift to slow down. Hold the skid icon with a second finger to drift, or tap your item to use it. Start accelerating in the final second of the countdown for a launch boost. Holding too early overheats the engine. The race pauses when you leave the tab.
